Wonderful, Wonderful, Mothers Day!

I am such a blessed woman. I had a fantastic mothers day. Not because I got some hyped up gift but because I got to spend time with all but one of my children. They are all growing up so so fast. Where did all my toddlers go? I have to admit it is nice to be able to have adult conversations now instead of teenage scream feasts. LOL Although we still have one of those every now and then. All of the kids 31 down to 7 are doing great! That's a lot for a mom of 22 to say. I truly feel the Lord is so gracious to us. Everyday is a new beginning.

The pictures are of various kids, and my grandkids. I was enjoying myself and not taking pictures. The one of me is with my mother. I told her they made a mistake and put her picture on my drivers licence.

We also had a BIG family reunion at our house on Sat. for my mothers side of the family. It was wonderful to be able to see some of my cousins with whom I grew up with. Time goes by and we don't even realize it. We got to see some clips of some of the old home movies from when I was a little girl. It is amazing what time does to us. Of course I don't look like a movie star but I am oh so happy! Now don't get me wrong, life is not always a bed of flowers. We have our ups and downs just like any family. We have arguments, laziness, mouthiness, rudeness, and every other normal adoptive family issue. But in the long run all the good out does the bad. Just call me blessed mom of 22.

Easter eggs

All the kids and grand kids had fun coloring eggs. I think they had as much fun coloring them as they did finding them. Although by all their serious faces you wouldn't know it.

party 4/16

Everyone had a blast at Andrew and Lauren's party. They played and played. The kids were tired and went to sleep quickly, which made a nice evening for me!

We got a truckload of sand for the gym sets and sandbox in the back yard. The kids had a ball taken it wagon load by wagon load and dumping it. They really did help and they were proud of being able to. And as usual my grand babies were in on the action. The castle was the end results. The weather has been really nice. Not too cold and not too hot. The kids have played outside every day and even got in the pool once. Lauren and Andrews big birthday bash is tomorrow. The kids are so excited they can hardly wait. Goody bags, pinatas, jumpy house, with ice cream and cake. It does sound good, I can't wait either!

Spring Break

We are enjoying spring break. All of the older teens are on trips with their friends. Destinee and Krishawanda went to Flordia, DJ is at the lake with friends, Marvin is with his girlfriend and her parents, Doreese is staying with friends, and Daivon and Anthony have taken a job painting Tabitha's house. It sure is quiet around here. I think the older kids make more noise than the little ones. I really enjoy being able to get a little extra sleep although when I have to get up at 6 I drag myself up and since I can sleep a little later this week I still find myself waking up at 6. Go figure! Tabitha's children both have birthdays this month so she will be giving a big birthday bash for them soon. Last year she rented a big blow up jump house for the weekend and they all had a blast! All the kids are looking forward to the party as much as Lauren and Andrew! My new grandbaby is a doll. I keep meaning to post pictures, but haven't yet. She looks a lot like her brother and like her aunt Tab. She is a month old today. Sweet, sweet, sweet, and already sleeping through the night. I know that makes her mom happy. I have nothing planned for today other than playing with the kids. Oh there is stuff I need to be doing, but time is so short with the kids. I'll paint, clean, and weed when they go back to school!

Enjoying My Kids

I really enjoy the kids. I enjoy being mom. It makes me smile to rock a little one to sleep. It makes me happy to sing to them, read to them and just play with them. I guess I'm just differnt from a lot of moms. Most moms are ready for their kids to grow up. And I want my to grow up too. Just not too fast. It seems just yesterday my now grown children were babies themselves. Now they have babies. My grand babies are wonderful. I am so glad they live close by. My sister-in -law just told me: Vicki you will be carrying a cane and a baby at the same time. Maybe. But I'll be a happy old woman. LOL.
