Go Panthers!

Tonight is our first official High School football game! Daivon and Anthony are playing football, (Anthony is also in the band) Krishawanda is in Color Guard, and Marvin and Selena are in the band! I can't wait to see everyone in uniform! I usually shed a few inconspicuous tears as I realize how far these kids have come. God has blessed us all as individuals and as a family. Thank you Lord for our many blessings! I'll post pictures tomorrow, (if I don't forget my camera).

Proud MAMA

Destinee and Krishawanda got promoted in JROTC. What an accomplishment. I am really proud of these two girls. They have come so far. They are two of the spots of sunshine in my life. They truly make me proud! This is how I envisioned my children. Strong individuals. Happy, content, God fearing, kids working towards their full potential. Proud mama post:)

whew!

These are pictures from some of the things we did this summer. Concert in the park, roller skating, 4Th of July fireworks, Jennifer's visit home, all of July's birthday's, right up to the first day of school.
I have been busy running back and forth to the Psychologist, Orthodontist, Pediatrician, Dentist, Health Dept. and School. Hopefully after this week all will slow down and I can enjoy some time at home. I am planning a big get together for September and I know that will keep me busy. If I didn't have something to do, I'd be crazier than I am now! Believe it?

Destine

Destinee graduated from Ft. Jackson South Carolina on Thursday August 12. We drove down on Wednesday and spent the afternoon with her. Her graduation was at 9 am Thursday. Krishawanda and Daivon got to go. It sure was good to see her after her being gone all summer. She still has one more year of high school and will finish her AIT training next summer. I was going to post pictures but can not find my camera. School has started and I am GLAD! I have lots of appointments scheduled and haven't had much alone time yet, but I am looking forward to some quiet. I am hoping 3 kids get released from therapy in the next month or so. That will cut down on some of my drive time. It is about an hour one way for us to go to the psychologist office. I have been so caught up lately in several projects going on that I haven't posted much. Some exciting news, some trouble news, and then there is just plain on life. I hope to have a quiet evening tonight and maybe read. We'll see....

Summer is at an end

THANK GOODNESS! We really enjoyed the first part of summer, I had activities planned every day. Park, lake, skating, bowling, mall and several other outings. On our mountain camping vacation one of the teenagers acted out awful. I do mean awful. Lies were told, truth was stretched and the culprit pitted one against the other. But I forget who is in control. God. So actually everything worked out fine. My nerves are still a bit on edge, and I just didn't have the heart to jump back into all the trips with the kids. We still went a few places but nothing like the first of the summer. I know God always has a plan, and the grounding that came from the acting out actually made us closer as a family. Outside influences can really be bad. Teenagers are so impressionable and all it takes is for some busy body do gooder to stick their nose in and walla: teenagers think that your a mean ole mom, who doesn't really want or love them, and that they deserve so much better. Thankfully with the support of family, therapist, and local law enforcement I think this kid has learned his lesson. Of course he hasn't had any influence of any body around except his family, teachers and professionals, so he's been a great kid to be around these last 30 days.

Tomorrow is the first day of school! YEA. I am looking forward to a day of QUIET. All of our supplies are bought. Everyone has their new outfit picked out and new shoes to wear. They are ready and so am I . Can't wait! 6 am can't come soon enough!
